Not only are we radical, but we are also radically underfunded! Like, no funding. We STRONGLY encourage you to find your own transport, but look out for local/regional opportunities for ride shares.

So far we only have three requests for airport pick-ups, and we know more folks will need rides. If would like us to try and find a volunteer to bring you into the city than we need you to tell us your arrival and departure times. If you do not respond by Tuesday, July 10 at noon (NOLA time), than we will not be lining anyone up to meet you there. Luckily there are public ways to get from the airport. But they are not fast and probably not as fun as having a real live APOC organizer pick you up. So please tell us ASAP if you need a ride!

From Greyhound/Amtrak
As you arrive, consider: they used this place as a temporary prison after Hurricane Katrina. No kidding, the concession stand is where the P.D.’s office was. Welcome to Louisiana.
The Greyhound and Amtrak both arrive at Union Passenger Terminal at 1001 Loyola Ave, New Orleans, LA 70113.
To registration by public transport:
The bus costs $1.25 one way, $1.50 if you want a transfer.
· When you exit the station, with the trains and buses an overpass will be on your right. You will be facing Loyola Ave.
· Cross under the overpass.
· When you get across the street you will be on is Calliope St.
· Turn left down Calliope, towards the river. The 1st street you cross should be Rampart, if you hit Simon Bolivar, turn around.
· Walk 2 blocks to the bus stop at O.C. Ha
